When I'm photographing and directing people I want them to be their selves, that it seems like they are not posing. It must have a snapshot feel. The viewer has to believe that the image is real, while it is sometimes completely staged. Due to the way I work and my contact with the model, their personality pop's out of the image. It doesn't matter whether they are models, ordinary people or children.
